You are interested in mechanical properties at the small-scale, microstructure or fundamentals of plasticity and like to work in a young dynamic research group? Then you are invited to contact Robert Maass directly to explore possibilities.
Undergraduate students: We are looking for outstanding UIUC undergraduate students that are interested in summer research projects in 2016.
PhD students: There are currently openings for experimental PhD projects with a strong background in materials science and materials physics. You are welcome to discuss available projects with Robert Maass.
Postdocs: There are currently no openings, unless you have external funding.
As a member of the international Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Network I can host postdocs that are interested in working with me and that intend to apply for the Feodor von Lynen Scholarship. Please contact Robert Maass to discuss hosting opportunities and proposal topics.
